Very simple flatbread recipe. Some recipes add a tablespoon of olive oil and salt to the dough.

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup water
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour with half the water (1/4 cup).
- Beat the mixture well until it forms a compact ball, then knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Divide dough into 6 equal parts, the roll into smooth balls. Roll each dough ball into flat circle. The dough should be very thin, like a tortilla.
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Place the dough circle on the skillet for about a minute. When you see small bubbles forming turn and cook for about a half minute more, or until bubbles begin to form.
- Press down with a spatula for a few seconds then repeat with the first side to give it a good color.
- Serve warm!
