Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup water
Ghee
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour with half the water (1/4 cup).
- Beat the mixture well until it forms a compact ball, then knead until smooth and elastic. Add water as needed for smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Divide dough into 6 equal parts, the roll into smooth balls. Roll each dough ball into a 1/8 inch thick circle.
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Place the dough circle on the skillet, brush with ghee, and cook for about a minute.
- Flip the paratha, apply ghee, and cook until golden brown. Give it one more flip for a few seconds.
- Paratha will be crisp. Serve immediately.
