5 cups whole wheat flour
2 or 2½ cups sugar
1 cup water
3 tablespoons cream of wheat
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup oil


  1. Mix sugar, water, salt and oil in a pot and cook until the mixture becomes somewhat dry.
  2. Add the mixture to the flour and knead, using as much water as necessary to form dough.
  3. Let the dough sit at room temperature for two to three hours. Roll into small round puris and deep fry in oil.
