Sweet Lassi (Yogurt Drink)

This popular yogurt drink can be made either sweet with sugar (and sometimes honey) or with spices. Prep time does not include refrigeration.

Ingredients

1 quart milk
1 quart plain yogurt
1 cup sugar
4 tsp. vanilla
6 fresh mint stalks

Directions

  1. Combine the milk, yogurt, sugar and vanilla and mix well.
  2. Add 6 stalks of mint leaves. Break the leaves a little to help release the flavor.
  3. Refrigerate for for at least 2 hours.
  4. To serve, remove the mint stalks, pour into a tall glass and garnish with a fresh spring of mint.
