This lentil chutney can be served mixed with rice and 1 tsp. of sesame oil.

Ingredients
1 cup toor dal (substitute yellow lentil)
1 cup gram dal (substitute chick peas or, yellow lentils)
1 cup grated coconut
2 whole red chilli peppers
Pinch asafetida (optional but suggested if using gram dal)
2 tbsp. ghee
salt, to taste
1/2 cup water (or more, as needed)
Directions
- Heat ghee in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the ingredients (except water!) until golden brown.
- Let cool, then grind in a food processor to make a paste, adding a small amount of water. The paste should be thick but not dry.

Awesome Dish, but a bit too much butter for my diet. I can do the same with just oil and this still looks like it might just work out.
