Ingredients

1 cup rava (semolina)
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. ghee
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. coconut flakes, or adjust to taste
2-3 strands saffron dissolved in a tablespoon of milk

Directions

  1. Heat ghee in a deep saucepan.
  2. Add semolina and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the semolina turns a light brown color.
  3. Add sugar and continue stirring for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Set aside to cool, then add ground cardamom, coconut flakes and dissolved saffron.
  5. Add milk and mix well.
  6. With wet hands, shape the mixture into balls.
  7. Serve!
